With very little capital, the author sets up the very first
‘Lonely Hearts’ introduction agency for the farmer and
the country dweller. Her aim to introduce couples with
hope that their friendships would develop into long
term relationships or marriages. Twenty years and
countless happy couples later she tells of some of the
characters and stories she has encountered along the
way. She also describes life on her upland livestock
farm, with accounts of the typical working day of a
farmers wife and all the tasks and tribulations this
entails. |
